Raw Vegan Grocery Shopping Haul

Sunday was a relaxing day here in the EatingRight household so grocery shopping happened on Monday afternoon. I don’t like to start the week unprepared but that’s no excuse to fall off track. I had enough on hand to make a delicious green smoothie this morning.

1 cup orange juice, 2 cups romaine and 1 Pink Lady apple – so yummy!!

I attended a health seminar today and enjoyed a vegan lunch. Fortunately the conference center is next to a Clark’s Nutrition Natural Foods Store so after an unexpectedly early end to the day (yay), I headed straight there for some supplies. In my August Goals post, I mentioned that I would be starting a 30 day juice and green smoothie feast. That’s on hold for now and I’ll write about that in another post. For now, I’m returning to high raw focusing still focusing on food combining.

Here’s what I brought home tonight. All items are organic and I like that about Clark’s. Their selection is great but expensive so shopping there is a treat. I usually shop at Sprouts Farmers Market which is also great and not quite as expensive but doesn’t have as big of an organic selection as Clark’s.

Blueberries, blackberries & strawberries

Grapefruit

Jicama (can’t wait to make “potato” salad with it!)

Pluots

Watermelon

Avocado & mango = my two favorite fruits!

Collard Greens – perfect for wraps!

Green onions for savory smoothies and salad dressings

Sundried tomatoes for my raw vegan taco meat
