Sunday was a relaxing day here in the EatingRight household so grocery shopping happened on Monday afternoon. I don’t like to start the week unprepared but that’s no excuse to fall off track. I had enough on hand to make a delicious green smoothie this morning.
I attended a health seminar today and enjoyed a vegan lunch. Fortunately the conference center is next to a Clark’s Nutrition Natural Foods Store so after an unexpectedly early end to the day (yay), I headed straight there for some supplies. In my August Goals post, I mentioned that I would be starting a 30 day juice and green smoothie feast. That’s on hold for now and I’ll write about that in another post. For now, I’m returning to high raw focusing still focusing on food combining.
Here’s what I brought home tonight. All items are organic and I like that about Clark’s. Their selection is great but expensive so shopping there is a treat. I usually shop at Sprouts Farmers Market which is also great and not quite as expensive but doesn’t have as big of an organic selection as Clark’s.

It looks like you like to choose the same kinds of foods as I do. I can never get enough fruits and veggies. That smoothie looks tasty especially the pink lady apples!

They made a real difference! I’ve already gone through most of the fruit so I’m likely back to the grocery store tomorrow. I’m buying more frequently to reduce waste.

Yes, I am interested in similar posts. I love trying new veggies and recipes, especially green smoothies. I’ve never perfected a recipe that tasted really good. Were there any other ingredients, or just those 3? I have pink ladies right here.

Yes, it was just those three! Super simple and quick! Mine came out thick so you may want to add more orange juice (I had about one cup) or even try coconut water to thin it out.

I also use sundried tomatoes in savory smoothies – basically blender soup but so delicious 🙂

Awesome! I really need to expand my horizons when it comes to produce. I’m super interested in more posts like this! I have never ever heard of a Jicama though. Not a clue as to what that is.
