These posts are always the hardest to write but I know how much I appreciate honesty and authenticity from my fellow bloggers so why would I exclude myself?
*huge sigh*
It’s only Tuesday and I feel like I’ve been through two weeks. What happened to the weekend? Is it Friday already?
In the heat of the emotion today I fell into my usual habits. Hashbrowns with cheese and salsa for breakfast followed by lunch with ketchup and fries.I also had a Veggie Thai Chicken Wrap which was a good choice but I didn’t need the fries. I got back on track at home with a big bowl of mango, strawberries and blueberries. That always hits the spot!!
The rollercoaster ride will likely continue tomorrow so my number one plan of attack is being prepared. If I start the day on a high note, I make good choices throughout the rest of the day. I’m going in prepared.
That’s a good place for me to start.
What are your tips and tricks for getting back on track?

Be kind to yourself! You’re doing great. I usually follow something not so great with some protein and greens like baby spinach or some kale. For me, I find a lot of fruit spikes my blood sugar and gets me right back on the roller coaster. You body may be different but that’s what works for me. Hang in there and celebrate all you have accomplished so far!

Thanks for the encouragement Jasmine! Fruit helps to satisfy my cravings and fills me up. The same with salad but l need to go grocery shopping so it was fruit last night 🙂

I totally agree with you. When I start my day with fresh ginger tea and a green juice, I tend to make better choices throughout the day. I also agree that the best course of action is to not beat up on yourself but to get back on board with a healthy meal/snack that will give your both the energy and confidence to continue your journey. Thank you for your wonderful words and insight.

Starting the day healthy is definitely the key for me too. During the week I try to make sure I always have super healthy breakfasts ready for the next day because if I start the day with fresh juice, a smoothie or a big fruit salad, I feel so good that I want to continue eating salads and veggies for the rest of the day. Then if you have a craving now and then for something a little unhealthy, it’s no big deal. Be kind to yourself and remember the big picture – that you’re making much better choices now than ever before. 🙂
